I usually don't mess with the winter rye, but I had a small contained aread where the centipede had a tough summer, so I put out a bag, This stuff did really great and I didn't water it at all once it got established in about two weeks. I guess it will die out once it gets hot, but hopefully by then the centipede will have taken over by then.
