    Tulips in South Carolina

    I guess a Tulip is a perenial. Mine just broke the ground this weekend. I hope it is too early. I will post some pictures later.

    Here are a couple of pictures from February 12th, 2008. This is about three days after they broke the ground.

    I think my tulips are done for the year. They have bloomed and the petals have all but fallen off. What should I do with them now? Cut them off at ground level, or just let them stay there? I want to plant some annuals in that bed, but I dont want to disturb the tulips.
